The Tulane Center for K-12 STEM Education is hosting a 3-day (12 hours total) teacher professional development this summer for 5th-8th grade teachers. The PD will be hosted at Tulane University on Monday, July 8th to Wednesday, July 10th from 9am-1pm. Parking will be provided.
The PD will provide teachers with hands-on experience integrating STEM activities into their science curriculum to reinforce the science and engineering practices of the LA science standards. The PD will be led by Cathie Smith, retired K-12 Science Coordinator at Jefferson Parish Public School System and long time science teacher.
