Tulane University offers a service learning class each fall semester with the objective of providing undergraduate student mentors for registered FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST LEGO League Jr. (FLL Jr.) teams in our area, and we hope that you will consider partnering with us! Teams are required to be registered nationally through FIRST.

Classes begin at Tulane on August 27th, so students would likely not be able to start until after Labor Day (September 3rd). The service learning class for the Tulane students is Tuesdays from 3:30-4:45pm so avoiding Tuesday afternoons is helpful.

To enable the partnership for FLL, your team must participate in an FLL Qualifying Tournament in Louisiana in November and have an updated partnership agreement with Tulane’s Center for Public Service. Up to 10 students can participate at a competition per team. The qualifiers will likely be scheduled for Saturday, November 10th or Saturday, November 17th (more information here).

To enable the partnership for FLL Jr., your team must participate in the FLL Jr. Expo on Saturday, December 15th (more information here) and have an updated partnership agreement with Tulane’s Center for Public Service. Up to 6 students can participate at an expo per team.

Please fill out this online form for each type of team (FLL teams and FLL Jr. teams should fill out separate forms) as soon as possible if you are interested in partnering with Tulane this fall. We would like to get partnership agreement paperwork complete so it doesn’t delay the students going to your school.

Questions can be addressed to Dr. Michelle Sanchez at sanchez@tulane.edu.

REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY TUESDAY, AUGUST 21ST, 2018.
